Labour Councillor (Redbridge, London) Muhammed Javed was found guilty of misconduct by a Standards Boards tribunal and suspended from the Labour Party in 2005 following remarks made to a female Tory councillor during a break at a council meeting. The dashing, silver-tongued Labour cavalier had approached Councillor Kathy Pepperel and told her: “I must say, Kathy, you look very nice tonight.
